You already know how fond I am of Solis Lough Eske and I really enjoy working there. This is the place Noel decided to ask Brenda to marry him (I like your style Noel!). And so it seemed fitting that we head to Donegal for a shoot to celebrate their engagement! For a couple who said they were really nervous in front of the camera this pair played it very cool, even squeezing in time for an outfit change!

Nicola & Kevin | Engagement| Fermanagh | N.Ireland
I very rarely get put off by the weather but this day was bad. The rain was following me up the road to Fermanagh. There was nothing for it but to phone Nicola and reschedule (I haven’t had to do this in a few years!) Yes even in this country! So Nicola phones me back and says the weather is clear with her and I should come on ahead and sure enough as I draw up to Florence Court there is complete calm. No rain and just enough wind to blow the hair in the right direction for that wind swept look I’m liking these days! It’s kinda funny how things work out!
Nicola & Kevin have ordered a beautifully Framed Photographic Signboard from their e-ssession, for their guests to sign & leave a message during the wedding day instead of a guest book.
Shauna & Nicky | Engagement | Malahide Castle |Ireland
After my sneek peek last week I have had a lot of people shouting to see MORE from this beautiful engagement shoot at Malahide Castle in Dublin, Ireland. I think the love speaks for itself here! Roll on the Wedding!
Shauna Says: ”Love the photos Sarah. Thanks for making the experience such a fun one! x”
Framed Engagement Portrait
It’s always nice to see blog posts on screen but I think it is also great to see them in their full glory when they are Printed and Presented for display. I loved the retro feel of this Portrait so I have presented it in a smooth high gloss white frame to give it that 1950′s diner feel, if you know what I mean. This would work really well displayed in a modern high gloss kitchen/dining area.
It’s been a while!
She’ll be coming round the Mountain when she comes!
A quick post this morning, between editing, to show just one of the beautiful Engagement Portraits leaving the studio very soon. Martina & Liam braved the elements of Slieve Gullion for some beautiful portraits before they brave the elements again in December for their Wedding!! I just don’t know what the weather is going to throw at them this Winter!!
They selected a classic black frame for their Wall Portrait which will take pride of place in their new home when they get married! If you are getting married next year and haven’t booked your engagement session yet give the studio a call on 02882 253 056 as we are nearly fully booked.
Meagan & Johnny | Castlerock | Engagement
Today we are taking a break from Weddings to share with you the beautiful engagement session of Meagan & Johnny. The beach, which happens to be right in front of Johnny’s home, in Castlerock was the location. To say I was a bit blown away by its situation is an understatement!! I think if I lived there I’d never feel like doing any work, getting distracted by the sea, the views & the walks.
Adele & Giles | Ballylennon | Co.Donegal
Here are some shots from the engagement, or should I say pre wedding!! shoot of Adele & Giles who are getting married in August at Lough Eske Castle. I always have a final chat with my brides & grooms prior to their wedding to discuss the finer details of the day and to make sure everything runs smoothly for them on the day. This photo shoot took place quite near where Adele lives so after their e-shoot shoot I was able to go to Adele’s home to find out the last little details about their big day!! I got well fed and watered at the kitchen table (the tea is always wet in Donegal!!) and Adele showed me into her front room which has been transformed over the last few months into the main Wedding Room – I could hardly move between wedding cakes & shoes!! Adele (& Giles) have put a lot of thought & effort into what will be a gorgeous day in August and I can’t wait to photograph it for them! Lucky guests I say!!
Adele & Giles | Ballylennon | Co.Donegal
I spent a lovely, rain free, morning with Adele & Giles discussing their final Wedding plans for August and finding out a little bit more about them. Oh and we took some lovely photographs along the way too!! These guys have been going out 6 years and it is now their turn to get married! Here’s a Sneek Peek before Adele comes to the studio to view the rest!
Rebecca & Emmett | The Walled City |
Becca & Emmett returned home to Emmett’s home town of Derry to get a little bit of experience in front of the camera before their wedding in August. We strolled around the famous walls of the city stopping for a coffee along the way and chatting about, what sounds like, an amazing wedding! Can’t Wait!!
