Well have we a treat for you today!! This has to be one of my biggest blog posts EVER!! The day started very early and didn’t finish until very late! I totally understand why Rebecca & Emmett travelled all the way from London to celebrate their Wedding day at Lough Eske Castle (one of my fave venues!) Anyone looking for a chilled out Wedding day I would totally advice you to do what Rebecca & Emmett did and have everything nearby. It may take a little more effort making sure you have everything with you and all organised before hand but boy does it make for a super chilled out wedding day, not travelling for hours and spending part of your wedding day in a car. As far as I’m concerned Rebecca & Emmett did it perfectly AND they totally enjoyed themselves!! Rebecca even had time to freshen up before the meal and change into her ‘evening look’ which included a beautiful diamante statement neckpiece- gorgeous
I love the different traditions associated with Weddings and as this was my first Jewish Wedding I was very excited and had to read up a little so that I wouldn’t miss anything important during the service! A traditional Jewish wedding ceremony takes place under a Chuppah or wedding canopy, symbolising the new home being built by the couple when they become husband and wife. Emmett, with a little help, built this Chuppah the day before the Wedding!!
Time for some tasty nibbles before heading out for a walk around the beautiful grounds of Solis Lough Eske
These guys know how to have a good time and I think this shows in the photographs! Dancing is a major feature of Jewish weddings. The Hora is performed at the wedding reception. While the bride & groom hold on to either end of a handkerchief they are lifted into the air on chairs by their guests, as they are celebrated as ‘king and queen of the night’!!
Loved every minute of this amazing wedding and thanks to mum & dad Shaw for making me feel like part of the family!
