I’m very pleased to announce that I have  just won second place in the Getting Married in NI Annual Wedding Awards at the prestigious awards ceremony in the Ramada Hotel in Belfast on Saturday night.  I feel really proud to receive this award, nothing gives me so great an honour as being nominated by my clients.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who voted for me.

I have been nominated for all Ireland recognition at the 2012 Weddings Online Awards- Wedding Photographer of the Year. You can vote for me by going to  http://www.weddingsonline.ie/awards/vote/

I think with the recession a lot of these beautiful memories are being forgotten. I have to instill that you cannot get these moments back.  I would have loved some photographs taken like this with my mum, to look back on now.  Arranging a Portrait Session like this for your family and children is an act of love.  It is also a great experience when a family can all be together, a rare occasion these days.

I have known all these kids, except Rian the youngest, since they were 1 yr old when Mary (Mammy) would bring them to the studio for their First Portrait.  We thought it would be a nice change to get some photographs taken of the kids at home on Ciaran’s (Daddy) Family Farm.  It is a real honour to be invited back by the family to take their photographs and record them growing up…so fast

I had to start blogging with a very special wedding.  I photographed Michael’s brothers wedding last year and it is always a compliment to be invited back to photograph another member of the family.  The attention to detail was amazing and a lot of it was done by Corrie herself.   I think this is the kind of wedding I would like.
