It’s not surprising that Shaun & Kathryn’s amazing home has made it to the front cover of the Spring Issue of Roco Magazine. Their contemporary home reflects their love for great architecture and design whilst cleverly retaining a cosy, lived in family feel.  I’d happily live here!

You already know how fond I am of Solis Lough Eske and I really enjoy working there. This is the place Noel decided to ask Brenda to marry him (I like your style Noel!). And so it seemed fitting that we head to Donegal for a shoot to celebrate their engagement!  For a couple who said they were really nervous in front of the camera this pair played it very cool, even squeezing in time for an outfit change!

I very rarely get put off by the weather but this day was bad.  The rain was following me up the road to Fermanagh.  There was nothing for it but to phone Nicola and reschedule (I haven’t had to do this in a few years!)  Yes even in this country!  So Nicola phones me back and says the weather is clear with her and I should come on ahead and sure enough as I draw up to Florence Court there is complete calm.  No rain and just enough wind to blow the hair in the right direction for that wind swept look I’m liking these days! It’s kinda funny how things work out!Nicola & Kevin have ordered a beautifully Framed Photographic Signboard from their e-ssession,  for their guests to sign & leave a message during the wedding day instead of a guest book.

After my sneek peek last week I have had a lot of people shouting to see MORE from this beautiful engagement shoot at Malahide Castle in Dublin, Ireland.  I think the love speaks for itself here! Roll on the Wedding!

Isn’t it lovely to have St Patricks Day fall at the weekend! Have a good one!

Well this album has just arrived in time for St Patricks Weekend!  As you know I get extremely excited when the Fed-Ex guy comes with my album deliveries, especially when I can’t wait to see a new cover like this beautiful Forest Green Irish Linen Cover. It soooo matches Karen & John’s natural, earthy, relaxed feel to their Wedding at The Ulster American Folk Park just outside Omagh.  They combined a photo cameo on the cover and selected classic antique cream pages for the interior of the album to compliment the different sized photographs spread over each page.

I get many enquires these days for a ‘Shoot Only’ Wedding Option where the photos are taken and the bride and groom walk away with a DVD of  photographs with good intentions to design and make their own wedding albums.  I get even more enquiries from people who regret not getting an album, asking me to design & supply an album, when they realise how much time, skill and effort is actually involved in undertaking your own album! Respect the Book! To me, there is nothing more satisfying than sitting down and turning the pages of a beautifully printed hand crafted Album.

When I meet my brides & grooms prior to their weddings the bride usually comes to the studio with a beautiful little book overflowing with interesting wedding ideas.  I love looking through this, making sure the picture of the dress doesn’t tumble to the floor in front of the groom (!!).  This gives me a really good feel to the style of the day.  As soon as Sinead showed me her Classic Cream invites, with bow detail, I knew that this had to be the cover for her Wedding Album.  It all came together beautifully.  Sinead selected the Contemporary Storybook Album with larger photographs printed edge to edge and we designed a Classic Venetian Ivory Cream Cover with Textured bow detail to compliment her invites.  A beautiful little package with a matching briefcase to keep the album safe while she takes it to show her friends and talk about the wedding again!  Who said the wedding day was over!
